Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and controls. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
The Aerospace, Defense & Marine Business Unit is a $1.7 billion business with over 6000 employees and over 20 manufacturing sites, primarily in the U.S. and Europe. We are currently seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for our Financial Planning & Analysis team. 
This position will report to the FP&A Manager for the business unit (BU). This role is a key finance business partner to the AD&M Engineering CTO, Chief Commercial Officer, VP of Sales & Marketing, and other functional members in leadership to support, achieve, and socialize the business goals and strategy.

Job Requirements

 

Key Responsibilities: 
•    Prepare, consolidate, and reconciliation of monthly flash reports, forecast, and reporting packages with use of SAP and Hyperion Planning
•    Support preparation of forecast summaries, review & document variances to plan, strategic plans, budget, quarterly forecasts and other ad-hoc projects, requests, and presentations
•    Provide analytical support to ensure BU achieves its strategic financial goals
•    Business partnership and financial modeling to support Opex functional leaders
•    Participate in process improvement initiatives
•    Proactively apply TEOA-F guideline to continuously improve financial and other associated processes

Short Description

 

What your background should look like

 

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
•    6+ yrs of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or consulting
•    Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with very strong proficiency in Excel
•    Highly skilled Excel & PPT user. SAP, Hyperion, or other data warehouse experience a plus

•    Knowledge excel macros highly desired / preferred

•    Strong oral & written communications skills, solid organization & planning skills, team player
•    Present insightful analysis and articulate recommendations in a clear and concise manner

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $112,000 - $150,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
