Manager, Channel Strategy and Business Development (Remote)

Our customers include automobile, telecommunication, computer, industrial, aerospace, and consumer products manufacturers that operate both globally and locally. TE sells directly to customers and through Channel Distribution partners around the globe. In the Channel business, we work closely with our partners to provide our end customers with our products and solutions across our various end markets.

 

Manager, Channel Strategy and Business Development provides cross-functional support across TE’s range of businesses. This position will:

  • Provide business development leadership. Develop and standardize methods and processes to identify, win, and track business opportunities across a multi-tiered value chain.
  • Lead the definition, evolution, and execution of the Channel BU’s ongoing market, customer, and competitive insights standard work.
  • Support the definition and execution of the Channel BU’s go-to-market strategy.
  • Identify and lead or support additional growth initiatives.
  • Communicate ideas, findings, recommendations, and plans to the organization to influence behaviors and business decisions

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Execute actions and own work streams to completion, leading or collaborating with cross-functional, cross-BU teams.
  • Support the strategic planning process and strategy reviews.
  • Establish and lead, support, or oversee ongoing reviews, report outs, and other function and team responsibilities.
  • Key projects may include:
    • Developing methodologies to uncover business development opportunities.
    • Leading outside-in discovery of product / market opportunities.
    • Generating and executing standard work to provide ongoing market, customer, and competitive insights.
    • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
    • Optimizing customer service models.
    • Supporting and developing key sales & marketing initiatives.

What your background should look like:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or engineering from a leading institution; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in various roles (e.g., strategy, business development, strategic marketing, sales) in a corporate environment.
  • Preferred 2-3 years with corporate strategy/business development group.

  • Conceptual and analytical problem-solving: think critically, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Managing multiple tasks / projects: work in a fast-paced environment in a self-directed manner.
  • Thought leadership and decision-making founded on strong analytics, strategic thinking, creativity, and business judgment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Business development practitioner, well-versed in identification, pursuit, and conversion of business opportunities, preferably in the context of a multi-tiered value chain.
  • Market insight development.
  • Strategy practitioner, well-versed in the theory and tools of strategy formulation as well as the practical implementation of strategy within a complex organization.
  • Systems savvy: advanced capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of analytical software (e.g., Tableau) and coding language preferred.

 

Desirable experience:

  • Experience with direct and indirect channels to market. Industry knowledge and experience working with distributors.
  • Marketing strategy, segmentation, value proposition, VoC, go-to-market (direct and indirect).

Location and Travel

  • Position is 100% remote based anywhere within the US in eastern and central time zones preferred.
  • Travel is 10 - 15% domestic and international

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $111,600 - 120,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
