Product Manager (Optical Sensors)
Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets. The Product Manager will act as an interface across several departments in our semiconductor wafer fab and grow our business with bipolar photodetectors. This is a real opportunity to take ownership of new & challenging projects, across a broad range of industrial applications like optical encoders, analysis, scanning and laser guidance.

Job Descrption
- Responsible for your own product portfolio of optical sensors to deliver on revenue and margin targets by creating and implementing the product roadmap throughout the entire product life cycle
- Build alignment across multiple functions within organization
- Supports Sales with target customer definition, content marketing, global customer acquisition, application know-how, customer visits, contract negotiation and pricing (value proposition & pricing)
- Champion new product requests and work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements
- Independently identify and pursue strategic scaling opportunities for business development
- Derive concepts for further development on new markets and expansion of existing markets
- Initiating product and portfolio continuous improvement projects to drive competitive business edge
- Define market requirements on product performance, project and production lead time
What your background should look like:
- Industrial Engineering degree or related field
- Ideally 3-5 years product management or industry experience
- Project Management experience
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- High level of initiative, independent and innovative personality
- Business management mindset, analytical skills, quick grasp of complex issues, cross-departmental and cross-location mindset
- Good understanding of economical and technical contexts
- Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex concepts
- Understand, analyse, and articulate market needs and opportunities
