JOB OVERVIEW:
TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. We are looking for someone who acts as a Business Partner with the site Operations Leaders, providing financial information for the management of ongoing manufacturing activities as well as for potential manufacturing optimization projects. This role will be reporting directly to the Operations Finance Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Key liaison person between the First Sensors Oberschöneweide site and the Operations cluster responsible for Ops finance activities, including Monthly Close, Quarterly forecasts, Annual Budget and Standard Recosting.
- Coordinate accounting and transactional activities for the site with Financial Solutions Center.
- Proactive involvement in the annual recosting process, analyses of cost change % and reasons make effective communication and collaboration with the Business Unit finance team in the whole recosting process.
- Define KPIs for Ops together with the management team. Preparation and analysis of weekly and monthly KPIs such as (but not limited to) GM%, Inventory Turns, Productivity, and Conversion Costs Savings. Responsibility for the explanation of these metrics
- Support preparation of Capital Expenditures Requests. Monitors actual Capex spending against approved budget and plans future Capex spending with Operations in accordance with BU targets.
- Supervise Fixed Assets of the facility
- Oversee Inventory accuracy, reviews continuous counts and supervise the annual physical count
- Ensure that the plant’s financials comply with TE policies, and act as local Ops Finance representative for internal and external auditors. Supports Legal Entity Controlling at year-end to provide insight on the business for the year-end audit.
- Participate in the TEOA-F program and related reporting process to ensure the EMEA sites achieve the metrics targets set by TE annually
- Ad hoc projects, especially SAP and IT-related
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or related
- +3 years of experience in Finance
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- English in both written and oral communication, German a plus
- Knowledge of SAP (or equivalent ERP system) on Costing & Ops activities
- Experience with US GAAP
- Ability to challenge information received that does not appear to be correct/reasonable
- Knowledge of MS Office tools, Advanced Excel
- Proactive / self-driven work habits with demonstrated ability to make process improvements
- Good organisation/time management skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility as required to meet the reporting deadlines of the parent company
- Ability to work with multiple IT systems and to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly
