Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams are process leaders for stamping, molding or assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. 

your main tasks:

  • Optimization of existing and development of new test processes in the production area of optical inspection of different sensor types on 4" and 6" wafers.
  • Independent monitoring of yields and defect densities as well as taking measures to increase yields.
  • Design and implementation of control procedures for equipment and inspection processes (DailyChecks, Calibrations, MSA).
  • Procurement of new equipment as part of investment projects with associated project management including specification and commissioning of equipment
  • Independent monitoring and evaluation of process and plant data as well as blocking and releasing of plants and processes 
  • Planning and execution of trials for continuous improvement of processes with regard to stability, yield, throughput times and costs 
  • Definition, specification and qualification of production materials as well as auxiliary materials

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, microsystems technology, nanotechnology, physics or a comparable technical course of studies 
  • Knowledge and practical experience in semiconductor technology and industrial manufacturing. Experience in automatic image processing and AOI is an advantage.
  • Knowledge in project management and Six Sigma methods such as MSA, FMEA and DOE are advantageous
  • Experience in data processing and data analysis, preferably with the ability to script or program (JMP, R, Python or VBA) is a plus
  • Structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach to work
  • Confident appearance and ability to act on one's own initiative
  • Good team and communication skills in German and English
