Product Manager (m/f/d) Battery Solutions

Job Overview

The EMEA Product Manager (f/m/d) HEMS – Battery Solutions is responsible to shape, execute & grow the HEMS Battery Solu-tions (interconnection boards, module to module connections, and other battery applications) portfolio, with key focus on optimizing the products’ market position and financial returns, consistent with corporate and Automotive business unit strat-egies. The candidate will lead the effort of developing HEMS Battery solutions business plan, product strategy and product marketing, and overseeing its execution to maximize the value generation throughout the responsible product life cycle. 


•    Working cross functionally with regional team to define sales, technology and operations strategies and goals in line with financial goals
•    Working with Global Team (regional product managers as well as Global Lead) on strategy and business plan devel-opment 
•    Defining resource requirements to execute the product roadmap
•    Establishing pricing boundaries in alignment with regional and global product management team
•    Supporting the annual operating plan (revenue, gross margin and standard margin)
•    Supporting the product and technology roadmap for battery solutions
•    Working with Global Team (regional product managers as well as Global Lead) on multi-regional quotations and oppor-tunities
•    Planning product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plan
•    Providing demand forecast inputs to S&OP
•    Participating customer engagement in support of defining product requirements and winning new business
•    Working with operations to create a capital efficient manufacturing plan
•    Managing the Profit & Loss statement for the assigned portfolios
•    Delivering sustained profit growth
•    Developing marketing materials for product value proposition and training sales team to promote Hybrid Electromobility Solutions (HEMS) products to the customers

What your background should look like:

•    BS degree in engineering. MBA or MS is preferred. 
•    More than 3 - 5 years of experience in various Engineering assignments.
•    Knowledge of the automotive industry and more specific of the EV market.
•    Strong background and experience in High Voltage Battery Architecture and/or Electrical components required.
•    Operational experience with electronics manufacturing / manufacturing engineering preferred.
•    International Experience preferred.
•    Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken 
•    Clear strategic thinker with vision and ability to execute on priorities
•    Team oriented working style with proven track record in organization and planning skills
•    Strong problem solving, strategic and tactical thinking and analytical skills
•    Knows his customers market and competition stand in detail and able to drive appropriate tactics for growth short and long term
•    High motivation, assertiveness and self-starter mentality 
•    Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
•    Innovative
•    Ability to effectively work under pressure to meet challenging targets 
•    Demonstrated technical and commercial mindset 
•    Very good communication and presentation skills 
•    Comfort presenting to and meeting with senior management

•    Excellent analytical skills coupled with a strong attention to detail
