The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (Aerospace, Defense and Marine or AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment (Industrial Solutions) and is a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and rigorous environments. Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.  

The Brantner & Associates, Inc d/b/a TE Connectivity MOG is seeking a candidate for a R&D Engineering Intern. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will be located in Bellville, Texas.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide Sustaining Engineering support for existing product lines
  • Interact with outside equipment & tooling suppliers to ensure specification/requirements/timelines are met.
  • Interact with raw material suppliers to develop and improve materials/quality/supply.
  • Support Cost Reduction Initiatives.
  • Support Six Sigma & Lean Activities.
  • Support process development projects in the design, build, conditioning and installation of advanced assembly equipment.

 

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Program, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship

 

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, SAP, CAD software including Solid Works, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA preferred.
