Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Systems Teams conduct analysis, evaluation, design, modification, testing and implementation of enterprise-wide systems across engineering, product management and related functional areas. They perform analysis of systems specifications and use the latest analytical/diagramming tools to represent business/technical processes. TE's Engineering Systems Teams also develop conversion and system implementation plans, prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation, recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards, coordinate system upgrade activity and train user personnel in the conversion and implementation of the system.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Engages in required design and drafting activities
  • Engages in maintaining document control/data management system
  • Continuous Improvement activities for day-to-day engineering tasks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work for the Engineering Manager to carry out all required tasks and provide regular status reporting and updates
  • Work in accordance with company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Setting up and maintaining drafting department
  • Process formally released drawings (electronic and paper)
  • Prepare BoM and Engineering Change Notices
  • Assistance with generation of procedures and documents
  • Document Control
    • Establish and operate document control system
  • Manufacturing Release Packages
    • Release of approved drawings and documents for manufacturing in a timely fashion
  • Establish and maintain clean working environment
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed, maintain accurate records of all work

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • High school graduate or equivalent and at least two, or more, years related experience and/or training in a similar environment and role
  • Must be fluent in English and competent in written/verbal communication, Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Experience in Solid Works and AutoCad
  • Experience in Solid Works PDM document management system
  • Knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, molding and materials
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint
