Job Overview

TE Connectivity is offering a ServiceNow Senior Platform Developer position within its globally acting ITSM Solutions team starting November/December 2020. We are operating a cloud based ServiceNow instance. In use are several platforms features as well as several applications out of the ITSM and ITOM modules. 
As a ServiceNow Senior Platform Developer you will a vital part of our DevOps process and you will be focusing on developments related to the ServiceNow platform, the ITSM processes and CMDB. You will collaborate with our Business Analysts and the stakeholders by providing technical conceptions and practical implementation of solutions for our customers from different corporate segments. You will be responsible for advanced designing, implementing, testing, and deploying solutions using current, best practice software engineering aligned to our standards, strategy and ITIL methods.

Specifically, you take on:
•    The requirements analysis about the technical design of ServiceNow
•    Implementation within ServiceNow in both the backend and the frontend
•    Advice and design for processes, systems, platforms, applications
•    Develop and manage Service Catalog Items and ServiceNow Custom applications
•    Create technical architecture, design and user guide documentation.
•    Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
•    Develop business rule workflow customizations in ServiceNow
•    Prepare documentation for all components of systems as well as user documentation
•    Liaises with ServiceNow Architect and Project Manager on project proposals and the overarching ServiceNow Architecture and Roadmap
•    Troubleshooting of issues on a higher level

What your background should look like:

•    4+ years of experience as a key technical resource leading the design and development of ServiceNow ITSM
•    Relevant work experience 10+ years
•    JavaScript, AngularJS, Glide and/or Jelly Scripting, Rest Api
•    In-depth understanding of and experience working with IT Service Management processes 
•    In-depth knowledge of UI design and strong UI programming skills along with Service Portal configuration and Reporting and Analytic
•    Hands-on experience in implementing, configuring and customizing Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.)
•    Proficient in integration of disparate systems using SOAP and REST APIs along with scripted `Webservices
•    Strong knowledge on Single Sign On, LDAP, Mid Server and automations using Integration Hub 
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills - high standard of accuracy
•    Ability to multi-task across project/initiatives and deliver according to time commitments


Good experience with the following technologies/tools/processes:
a.    ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
b.    ITIL Foundations (Edition 4 - ITIL practices - service management practices) 
c.    LEAN, SixSigma, Continuous Improvement processes and tools

Educational Required/Desired:  
-    Bachelor's degree or comparable education in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required or appropriate job experience. 
-    Proficient written and verbal communications skills in English (CEFR C1). Additional language(s) are welcome. 
-    High capacity for autonomous work with accurate reporting and feedback to manager.
