STRATEGIC SOURCING ANALYST

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Request for quotation and purchase requisition processing, Supplier follow-ups, quote analysis.
2. Identification of new supplier whenever needed. New supplier introduction following Energy BU Standard.
3. Pricing/MOQ/LT Negotiations, Execution of orders, supplier follow-ups, supplier visits until PO closer/Project closer, Payment follow ups.
4. Quality coordination including audits, supplier meetings, First article inspections
5. Tool development, Tool trials & moving to serial production (plastic molds/ stamping/ fixtures)
6. Strong coordination with engineers and managers of Global Engineering Center Bangalore.
7. Coordination with other engineering managers outside Bangalore. Coordination with manufacturing operations’ purchasing team.
8. Coordination with finance, logistics, and legal team.
9. Coordination with other purchasing functions, and legal teams
