Job Overview

You will be part of the growing transportation sensors software team which manages all our automotive sensor software developments. Following the last embedded software development rules defined by the automotive world, this team is implanted in India and works remotely with other project members based in France.

As a particular motivational factor, your work will directly be used by the major car companies in the world.

Concerning your specific activities, you will manage the ascending V-Cycle branch at the SW qualification level on our Bangalore site to verify the conformity of our SW products before delivery.

Job Requirements

  • As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will report to the SW Engineering Manager and will have the responsibility of:

    -    Define & execute the test plan and the test strategy
    -    Create test specifications / test cases related to software and customers specifications
    -    Review and assess test specification, code and coverage
    -    Configure and run test cases on hardware-in-the-loop test bench, including automation where applicable
    -    Execute manual test based on EE equipment (as scope, logical analyzer)
    -    Create and maintain test scripts and test libraries, leveraging automation where applicable
    -    Ensure ASPICE process creation and application
    -    Proceed to conformance testing of communication protocols
    -    Generate test reports for customer exchanges following our software development cycle in line with project requirements and validation outputs
    -    Assume communication of the test results to software developers, project and management
    -    Get the responsibility of the software laboratory:
    o    maintain test benches
    o    propose evolutions
    o    propose investments and technical improvements
    -    Drive AI-enabled validation improvements: 
    o    Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot or similar) for test case creation, automation, and documentation
    o    Apply data-driven approaches for test result analysis and defect trend identification
    o    Contribute to improving validation productivity through automation and AI-assisted workflows
    -    Provide technical support on project needs

DESIRED SKILLS:

Engineering grade in software & electronics.
-    Good communications skills and extremely rigorous
-    Requirement engineering skills
-    Expertise in test plan, strategy and processes
-    Expertise in software development & testing (at least 3 years of experience in SW testing)
-    Expertise in application lifecycle management tools as codeBeamer / DOORS / Polarion
-    Expertise in automotive development process: ASPICE and IATF 16949
-    Expertise in configuration management (Git / GitLab)
-    Hardware-in-the-loop skills (Black-box testing)
-    HW skills: able to read HW schematic & create small boards for test bench
-    SW skills: Python / CAPL
-    Communication protocols & conformance testing: CAN j1939, LIN, SENT, IIC, SPI
-    Vector tools: CANoe / CANalyzer / VTestStudio
-    Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar) 
-    Understanding of applying AI for test automation, validation efficiency, or data analysis
-    Other tools: oscilloscope, logic analyzer
-    English language is mandatory at professional level
