Responsibility:

 

Support development of Electrical SV Engineering sustainability for design strategy 

Initiate actions towards the reduction of negative environmental impact/carbon footprint on Product portfolio and achieve Electrical SV sustainability goals

Interface with key stakeholder such as Sustainability and Product Management Teams for customer requests linked to sustainability product requirements and turn these into specific system ecodesign specifications.

Develop methods and tools to report, analyze, and improve circularity into products and manufacturing operations (e.g Scope 1, 2 & 3 product carbon emission reduction)

Build a solid pipeline of Green projects (Leap, NPD and Sustaining) in agreement with the Engineering Managers

Act as main Project Manager for the Green project pipeline by maintaining a detailed project management plan of the project schedule, progress on deliverables, roadblock identification, and needs to complete deliverables on time

Support Engineering and collaborate with Sustainability & GPL teams, as well as other function teams in the development of environmental life cycle assessments for products and processes, to ensure environmental impact is part of the decision matrix

Establish and maintain a communication platform with the Central Engineering function

Define needs to the team in terms of trainings and capabilities to be acquired to develop successfully sustainability projects
 
 

Desired Candidate Profile

 

Qualifications

    Degree in sustainability, Materials Science, environmental science, or chemical engineering degree, Mechanical Engineering 
    Experience in environmental life cycle assessment, circular economy or product stewardship/product compliance
    Knowledge of ISO 14040 (Environmental management – Life Cycle assessment – Principles and framework) and ISO 14044 (Environmental management – Life cycle assessment – Requirements and guidelines)
    Experience with environmental metrics management is a plus
    Certified Six Sigma (DFSS/ DMAIC) - Green Belt (BB is plus point), Expert LEAN approach & Experience in Continuous Improvement Activities 
    Experience in using Excel, Power Points, Words. Large data analysis skills using Microsoft apps like Excel etc 
    Minimum of 9 years of sustainability engineering project management or equivalent professional experiences in engineering
    Fluent in English and have excellent oral and written communication skills
    Be able to work with stakeholders located in different countries and time zones
    Ability to make travel at rate estimated to be 10-25%
