Job Requirements
ROLE OBJECTIVE
As an Advanced Quality and Project Execution Manager, you will be part of TE Connectivity’s PTS Business Unit team, driving excellence in both product quality and project delivery.
This role combines advanced quality engineering and project management responsibilities to ensure flawless execution of New Product Introductions (NPI) from concept to production.
This position provides Project Management leadership & is responsible for end-to-end Product Development projects leading cross functional team with KPI’s as Launch on Time, Budget, Cost & Quality. You will also be involved in NPI complaint investigations, collecting documents and in-process records, conducting postmortem reviews, and ensuring effective implementation of a control plan for NPI shipments, supplier development, and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project/Program Management
o Lead and supervise New Product Introductions, Sustaining and Advanced development projects through clear cross functional communication and teamwork.
o Lead Process Improvement Management (PIM) Meetings and identify turnbacks
o Establish and maintain project scope and schedule throughout the project lifecycles through utilization of TE tools and by assuring integrity of project deliverables.
o Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to core and extended team members on a regular basis. Be a resource to facilitate the resolution of project issues.
o Assure projects are completed in accordance with the BU’ objectives for On-Time Delivery, Cost and Quality
o Provide progress reports, update the TE Project System / Metrics / Tools, escalate problems appropriately, and manage stakeholder expectations.
o Monitor critical path and identify key risks and opportunities related to projects
o Identify resource bottlenecks, develop & execute plans for resource and timeline optimization.
o Manage project capital budgets and ensure execution in alignment with financial plan.
Desired Candidate Profile:
EDUCATIONAL/CRITICAL EXPERIENCE
• B.E./B. Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in Quality and Project Management with experience in leading both roles for a minimum of 3 years in each role.
• Quality control experience in resistors, inductors, switches, relays, cables or relevant industry
• Experience as Manufacturing Quality would be an added advantage
• Experience in project management in manufacturing & engineering functions
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt (Good to have)
• CAPM or PMP Certification (Good to have)
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Strong knowledge of quality management standards as ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, IATF 16949
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, Automotive Core Tools APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP and other risk analysis standards)
• Exposure to regulatory approval processes such as UL, CSA, CQC, VDE etc.
• Strong analytical thinking and eagerness to learn about product development and market dynamics.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Understand GD&T's definition and requirements and product development lifecycles
• Hands-on experience with issuing First Article Acceptance reports and drafting SOPs / SWIs
• Exposure to Waterfall model and Agile model of execution in New Product Development projects
• Exposure in Sustenance project execution and champion fixing routine plant quality issues
• Financial acumen (to maintain capex and opex plans, and to prepare P&Ls)
• Ability to form successful (matrix) working relationships quickly at all levels
• Tools & Systems: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project (or any other planning tool), Product Lifecycle Management system, Change Management systems and Engineering change processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across teams and with Leadership
• Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, and willingness to learn tools like Power BI, Python or Tableau
• Knowledge of basic electrical and electronics circuits, statistical analysis tools and data analysis
• Good English knowledge, verbal and in writing (also for presenting)
