Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Job Responsibilities
•    Work with Engineering managers and directors to ensure the optimal resourcing of their team
•    Responsible for the technical assessment, gap identification and professional development of the team
•    Facilitates the cross pollination of process improvements and best practices in the PMO community
•    Responsible for keeping up to date with the latest project management principles and best practices both within TE and outside benchmarks
•    Responsible in driving a culture of accountability, ownership, and a proactive project management approach
•    Responsible for creating and executing a cross product development plan for all PjM’s
•    Monitor and manage execution performance of their team and ensure all PjM’s are appropriately managing project costs, scope, schedule, risk communication and quality of their projects.
•    Work with the PMO Director to develop PjM career paths and succession plans 
•    Works with Engineering and other cross-functional managers to align on resourcing plans and PjM performance
•    Ensures the development process is followed with a value driven approach
•    Conduct periodic reviews of project execution performance with the PMO director
•    Is an expert on our systems and processes and ensures PjM’s are appropriately trained 
•    Reviews completed projects and drives organizational learning and process improvement
•    Resolves issues that can’t be resolved by the team and escalates any issues to upper management when needed in a timely fashion
•    Cascade down organization initiatives, news, and objectives as needed 
•    Works with the Director of the PMO on developing and executing long term goals and strategy for the department 
•    Lead change and standardization across the organization to drive efficiencies that lead to cultural, structural, process, and talent agility.
