Job Objective:
The Sustainability Leader will be responsible for steering the 'Design for Sustainability' mission by evaluating comprehensive Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emission impacts through life cycle assessments (LCA) and identifying opportunities to reduce these emissions in alignment with science-based reduction targets. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including suppliers, manufacturing plants, product development, procurement, and customers—to align sustainability efforts with business objectives and implement data-driven strategies to achieve our sustainability goals
RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Understand and own TE Scope 3 sustainability goals.
• Achieve sustainability goals by working closely with all stakeholders and updating the leadership team monthly.
2 Design for Sustainability (DFS) Leader in PDE & engineering team
• Adopt new green technology into engineering team: Resin, Metal & Plating, and design
• Initiatives on sustainability projects.
• Create DFS toolbox and work standard in engineering team.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including PDE, Operations, Procurement, CTC, PJM, and PM to ensure seamless execution of sustainability and project initiatives.
• Buildup & sustain DDN material platform.
• Conduct Design for Sustainability (DFS) engineering training sessions to build awareness and capability across engineering teams.
• Establish and integrate Design for Sustainability (DFS) practices within the engineering team to drive Sustainability.
3 Connector PCF calculation.
• Calculation of PCF values and build a process to verify PCF.
4 Sustainability customer enquiries and documents.
• Work on customer enquiries.
• Taking ownership and addressing customer enquiries pertaining to Scope 3.
5 CEN-Sustainability team.
• New sustainability technology discussion and exploration
6 Participation in IS Segment Sustainability Scope 3 Leaders Meeting (Monthly).
Education & Critical Experience:
• Looking for a qualified expert with around 8 years of experience in sustainability design and Scope 3 emissions, preferably with a background in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields, and additional certifications like LCA or LEE
COMPETENCIES
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in LCA software tools and data analysis.
• Knowledge of GHG Protocol standards and experience with Scope 3 emissions reporting.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
