SALES DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE I

The Solution Center Team plays a crucial role in driving customer growth and enhancing customer experience for the Enterprise and Distribution Channel business unit. With over 400 dedicated professionals, the team offers global support, helping customers and distributors engage with TE Connectivity, providing expert technical advice and delivering high-quality business opportunities. As a Sales Development Representative, you'll qualify new business opportunities, assess customer needs, and collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless transitions. You'll help promote TE Connectivity’s solutions and contribute to expanding our customer base.

 

 

 Responsibilities:

 

  • Generate new demand (e.g., opportunities, leads, and/or buying groups) for the sales organization.
  • Qualify demand (e.g., opportunities, leads, and/or buying groups) against established criteria before passing a qualified lead or opportunity to Sales/Account Manager. 
  • Discover, validate, and reach out to additional personas or members of a buying group that may be involved in the buying decision, and share this with Sales.
  • Nurture predetermined groups of prospects back from the field or channel sales by using multiple touch tactics (e.g., telephone, email, social)
  • Gather key project details such as scope, timelines, decision-makers, and fit for TE solutions, focusing on identifying pain points.
  • Communicate qualified opportunities to the sales team with comprehensive background information to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and identifying where TE solutions can add value.
  • Present and promote TE Connectivity’s products and services to drive interest and generate new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, customer care) to resolve customer inquiries and ensure timely support.
  • Engage with new customers to expand the customer base and drive revenue growth by promoting TE’s portfolio.

 

Skills & Qualification:

 

  • Business degree (equivalent experience considered) / B.E / B.Tech in Engineering (EEE, ECE, Mechanical, or related field)
  • Proven experience in technical sales with a focus on customer engagement and problem-solving.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Active listening to assess prospect needs and opportunities.
  • Ability to articulate a reasonable value proposition on every call.
  • Ability to perform prospect and account research to prepare for calls
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and proactive with a passion for exceptional customer experience.
