Job Overview
CCAO Product portfolio is within System subvertical of Industrial business unit. We provide cable assembly solutions to customers; we are working on developing new cable assembly product for Industrial customers and, we are working with Rail customers for low voltage cable assembly requirements. TE offers systems solutions to provide an optimized design considering our parts from standard product portfolio.
Job Requirements
• Checking the product requirements, (specifications, customer samples or end application) of the customer,
• evaluating the possibility for mass production, advising the customer, proposing alternatives if necessary.
• Defining the necessary components, looking for alternatives if necessary, determining the processing operations and tools required, determining the cost price, must be cost conscious related to cable assembly components and related products.
• Preparing drawings using CAD tools, BOM, processing operations, etc.
• Organising the components, tools and scheduling the production of samples.
• Coordinating with operations team to prepare samples, checking and testing these, and when samples are according to specifications, release the samples to customer.
• Maintaining the drawings of existing products.
• Supporting the production sites in manufacture of released products.
• Participating in improvement projects to reduce cost-VAVE.
• Interaction with various stake holders, sales, Product management, operations and customers and ensure that the team is updated on the project status.
• Ensuring the products meets all customer and legal environmental requirements
Desired Candidate Profile:
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with overall 5 to 8 years of experience
• Minimum 4 years of working knowledge on cable assembly Products.
• Proven track record of developing new customized cable assembly for Rail and Industrial customers.
• Knowledge of six sigma tools will be added advantage.
• Ability to interact with various stack holders across organization including customers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Sound Product and application knowledge related to cable assembly products.
• Knowledge about the materials used in cable assembly Product line.
• Knowledge of cable assembly over molding materials and process is added advantage.
• Ability to communicate and educate technically to create a technical growth and development environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work multi-culturally
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Comfortable and confident to operate effectively in a fast-paced commercial organization
• Knowledge of Product Development Cycle and Life cycle engineering Processes and Procedures
• Should be Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player.
• Willingness to travel domestically at short notice
