R&D/PRODUCT DVL ENGINEER II
Job Overview
Responsibilities
• Control system design for Industrial Automation equipment from concept stage.
• Design Automation Control electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Liaise with Production during initial machine manufacture.
• Production of support documentation including BOMs and manuals.
• Debugging of plc programs
• Researching solutions to existing process problems
• Technical support to Production
• Fixture Design & Development for improving productivity with quality
• Validation and delivery of completed systems
• Installation and facilities duties
• Maintain high quality / compliance standards in line with Medical Devices manufacturing requirements within TE Medical
• Ensure goals and objectives are met and understood by effective communication, building an atmosphere of openness, honesty and flexibility with individuals and within the team environment.
• Manage external relationships with technology providers / Suppliers.
• Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fulfilled Researching solutions to existing process problems
What your background should look like:
- Engineering degree, or equivalent qualification, preferably with 4 to 7yrs experience in generating control schematics, automated fixtures, robotics integration, fixture design, or advanced manufacturing technologies
- Experience with Cobot and AGV implementation
- Proven track record of automation deployment
- Understanding of wide range of automation solutions
- Experience of volume production environment
- Strong technical background and capabilities.
- Proven experience in fixture design, mechanical design, or manufacturing engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks).
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling
- A demonstrated ability to solve problems with innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Experience with design for manufacturability and cost reduction strategies
- Excellent working knowledge of equipment and process validation
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Knowledge of ISO and FDA compliance with emphasis on validation.
- Experience in programming IEC 61131 compliant PLC language
- Excellent Knowledge of CE Standards.
- Motivated to work on own initiative and the ability to make and implement decisions.
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
