Channel BU brings together Sales Enablement, Marketing, Pricing, Customer Service, Digital, and PMO functions to accelerate revenue, deliver digitally enabled experiences, and achieve above-market growth.

 

Role Definition

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager, Data & Analytics to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic data and analytics initiatives supporting the Channel Business Unit. This role is responsible for orchestrating cross-functional projects across three critical pillars: Channel Data Management, Analytics Products (dashboards, self-service BI, reporting), and AI / Data Science Products (predictive models, NLP, agentic AI solutions).

The ideal candidate is a strong project leader and influencer who thrives in matrixed, global environments, someone who can align diverse stakeholders across geographies, drive accountability without direct authority, and ensure complex data & analytics programs are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact. This role requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to navigate competing priorities and secure buy-in from senior leaders, technical teams, and business partners alike.

Based in Bangalore, India, this role will partner closely with the NA-based Data & Analytics product owner, the India-based Data Analytics & Data Science Delivery Manager, India-based Data & Analytics team, Channel BU leadership, global DIA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders across AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Job Requirements

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the Channel BU Data & Analytics portfolio, including project scoping, planning, resource allocation, risk management, and execution.
  • Maintain integrated roadmaps across Data Management, Analytics, and AI/Data Science initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery commitments.
  • Apply Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies to drive predictable, high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and issues, defining mitigation plans and escalating where appropriate.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, budget, and quality through dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Coordinate release, change, and deployment activities to ensure seamless implementation.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, delivery teams, and enterprise platform teams.
  • Influence senior leaders and functional partners to align priorities, secure resources, and gain agreement on scope and timelines.
  • Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions to ensure solutions meet business objectives and adoption goals.
  • Provide strategic input on portfolio prioritization, capacity planning, and investment decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across AMER, EMEA, and APAC, driving collaboration in a global matrix environment.
  • Lead change management and communication activities to support adoption of analytics and AI solutions.

Portfolio Governance & Demand Management

  • Establish and manage demand intake and prioritization processes, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-value initiatives.
  • Drive portfolio governance through stage-gate reviews, investment tracking, and value realization reporting.
  • Track and communicate business impact, including financial value, efficiency gains, and adoption metrics.
  • Manage project budgets and external vendor engagements where applicable.
  • Maintain project documentation, best practices, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

Data & Analytics Program Support

  • Support enterprise data platform and analytics transformations, including Databricks adoption, legacy system retirement, and BI platform migrations.
  • Coordinate AI/ML and data science initiatives from ideation through deployment, ensuring compliance with enterprise governance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with analytics delivery leaders to align project demand, team capacity, and resource utilization.
  • Drive Data & AI literacy through training, onboarding, and user engagement programs.
  • Support development of business cases, ROI assessments, effort estimates, and stakeholder alignment for new analytics and AI initiatives.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in project management, program management, or delivery management within data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or technology domains.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in matrixed, global organizations with geographically distributed teams.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent Agile/project management certification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing data & analytics or AI/ML projects, including familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), cloud data platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS), and modern data architectures.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and hybrid delivery frameworks; experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Planisware, or Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with vendor management, SOW/contract oversight, and budget management for technology projects.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data governance is a strong plus.

Proven track record of securing stakeholder buy-in and resolving conflicts through diplomacy and persuasion.

Business Acumen: Ability to understand business context and translate Channel BU priorities into well-scoped, high-impact data & analytics projects. Experience in Channel/Distribution business models is a strong plus.

Delivery Management: Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, balance competing priorities, and deliver on committed timelines using Agile and hybrid methodologies with operational rigor.

Leadership & Collaboration: Strong servant-leadership mindset with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams, foster accountability, and build a culture of trust and collaboration across geographies and time zones.

Communication & Storytelling: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to present project status, risks, and recommendations to executive audiences with clarity and confidence. Skilled at tailoring messaging for diverse audiences.

Change Management: Experience driving organizational change, platform migrations, process improvements, and adoption of new tools and ways of working.

Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information, identify patterns, and make data-driven recommendations to improve project outcomes and portfolio performance.
