Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.
Role

Role Statement: 

 

Integrated Systems Group (ISG) is part of the Aerospace Defense and Marine business (AD&M) within TE’s industrial business segment, supplying customers with electronic components that include ruggedized electronic interconnect solutions and harness assemblies.

 

The ISG project management team are looking for a motivated and experienced project manager to work in our ISG Wire & cable and EPS business. TE Connectivity’s Project Management Team manage cross functional projects across a variety of functional teams. Working with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Teams, Quality, Supply Chain, Pricing and Finance ensuring projects meet financial, schedule, customer quality and delivery expectations.

 

The Project Manager will have overall responsibility the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of multiple projects. He/she will be accountable for leading the projects to a successful conclusion and ensuring that each project meets the defined deliverables and targets set in terms of Design, Manufacturing, Opex, Capex, and timeline working at the pace of the customer to deliver.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Supporting Project Management Office (PMO) with reports form multiple systems for monthly and Adhoc meeting like ( Project approval Committee, Portfolio Review meeting’s, Portfolio Management Team , engineering meeting’s
  • Ensure all Project’s follow governance in accordance to LEANPD V2 and presented to Project Approval Committee (PAC)
  • Ensure all Projects in the business units are loaded in TE Project which is a project, portfolio and resource management tool that is based on the cloud version of Microsoft Project Server
  • Ensure correct framework are used in all product lifecycles: Advanced Development (LEAP), New Product Development (NPD) and Sustaining. 
  • Accountable for generating KPI related to new product sales, new product margin, launch on time, time reporting, Resources and review them with Senior Stakeholders 
  • Engaging with Senior Stake Holders for review on Engineered Polymer Solution and Wire and Cable Portfolio and work on the pipeline for next on projects 
  • Responding and coordinating to Request for Information or Request for product by working with different department’s (Engineering, Quality, Supply chain, Business office, Operations, procurement) 
  • Creating detail project plan and tracking activities against the detailed project plans.
  • Working closely with various departments to ensure delivery of project and maintain stake holder expectation are met.
  • Agree deliverables and milestones highlighting slippage against task
Qualifications & Requirements

•    University degree: Engineering preferred.
•    Demonstrated experience in project managing the cradle to grave life cycle of applications, including, bidding, developing, procuring, manufacturing and delivery.
•    Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in Project Management.
•    Project Management Institute certification, PMP or Prince2 certification 
•    Industry experience of Wire & cable or polymer design and manufacturing or related field would be desirable. 
•    Solid understanding of the development methodology and the ability to deploy NPD projects.
•    Strong and thorough knowledge of technical tools specific to Project Management, as well as knowledge on general engineering tools. Experienced MS Project user.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Culturally sensitive.
•    Strong ability to set goals and motivate team members.
•    Worked within a cross functional team to maintain schedule and financial goals throughout a project.
•    Able to run multiple projects at the same time.
•    Ideal candidate is proactive, resilient and self-confident.
•    High level of English language and documentation skills.
