Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.
What your background should look like:

Job Purpose:

  • To manage the day to day activities of the various project.
  • To maintain documentations on various migrations and Development projects.
  • To coordinate with various stakeholders for the deliverables for the project.
  • To partner with various departments to make sure that the project timeline and budget is adhered to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete end to end planning, direction and coordination of all the project activities for small and medium projects
  • Risk and mitigation planning
  • Assist in data analysis and cost savings calculations for migrations/VAVE/savings projects
  • Conduct regular review meetings with various stakeholders on the deliverables and ensure that the project is on track
  • Present the projects to Project approval committees for approval
  • Coordinate to make sure that all projects are delivered ontime, within scope and within budget.
  • Work with Engineering/Supply Chain/Sourcing to make sure that all master data is set up in ERP system on time and complete the costing activity
  • Work closely with sourcing team to monitor the suppliers for the project on quality and adherence to schedule

  • Excellent skills in planning and organizing, prioritizing; task management, risk management; coordinate/facilitate projects and meeting objectively, delegates tasks.
  • Good negotiating and influence skills, good time management.
  • Good knowledge in materials and supply chain process.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawing.
  • Excellent problem solving skills. Show initiative and creativity.
  • Customer focused – Internal and External

Work experience:

  • Minimum 5 years working in a high mass volume manufacturing environment in Manufacturing Engineering/Sourcing/Supply Chain
  • Good knowledge on MS Office (Excel/Word)
  • MS project knowledge will be added advantage
