Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

  • Supports core team leader/members
  • Prepare several reports say time reporting, Metric reports, conduct project audits.
  • In the preparation of gate reviews
  • In adopting new processes & templates
  • By providing training on LeanPD requirements to new CTLs
  • To proxy PAC facilitation and PMO Activities for TE Sensor Solutions (TESS) team in absence of TL

– Preparing agendas, conduct PAC Reviews and document PAC decisions
– Ensures PAC and Teams are prepared
– Tracks decisions and metrics
– Flags portfolio and pipeline issues ahead of time and facilitates that discussion

  • Feedback team members & PAC on potential problems and drive continuous improvements
  • Support managements with project dash boards (financials, milestones, resource)

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Business Management.
  • 0~2 experience in automotive Industry having good knowledge in Project management.
  • Should have directly lead/championed at least 3 projects with coordinating a cross functional teams (across locations/regions)
  • Exposure to MS Projects will be added advantage.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Exposure to functioning of various departments and co-ordinate with them.
  • Good working knowledge on excel and project management tools including MS project.
  • PMP certifications will be added advantage.
  • Work support is for North America, so need to work in night shift on certain days of week (at least 2days) to participate in review meetings. General working would be in 2nd shift (1.30pm to 11pm IST)
  • Good communication, presentation to top management teams and leadership skills
  • Ability to work within a multicultural and multifunctional team
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving and drive to follow-up with team members
  • Ability to create and sustain best practices
