PRODUCT PRICING ANALYST I

Job Overview

The Aerospace, Defense & Marine (ADM) Pricing team is seeking a Product Pricing Analyst who is responsible for providing price leadership in transactional price support for assigned global product families and global product lines within the business unit. This includes global market, competitor analysis and price targeting/positioning to improve key financial factors. The Product Pricing Analyst reports to the supervisor of the Product Pricing Operations team for the ADM business unit and partners closely with the Strategic Product Pricing team members.

Roles and Responsibilities

Process RFQs and purchase orders using the Global Price Management System (GPMS), Request Tracking System (RTS) and SAP system
Review and process special price requests (SPRs) in GPMS in line with GPL Playbook guidance.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a focus on customer responsiveness in completing price requests.
Make recommendations regarding business unit price structures and tactics for existing & new products and verify that pricing decisions support overall business unit objectives
Work closely with Strategic Product Pricing team members to provide analytical support and analysis in making recommendations for price adjustments & changes, product life cycle adjustments, product segmentation and cost inflation.
Perform margin and pricing analysis of quote activities to support key business unit initiatives as required

Develops, evaluates and implements pricing strategies and models based on cost overhead, current business and competitive market dynamics.
Conducts research and performs competitive pricing analysis, monitoring ongoing competitive environment to ensure practices do not adversely impact company reputation or customer satisfaction
Evaluates opportunities to monetize products offered initially at little to no cost, or to create upsell opportunities as products are repositioned in the marketplace.  
Projects impact of pricing changes, individual promotions and rebate programs on revenue.
Partners with Sales/Marketing, Business Development and Finance to correctly position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements

Key Skills

2 – 5 Years of applicable experience
Pricing experience preferable
Experience in pricing products in different life cycle stages
Experience in pricing new products and customer pricing analytics
Self-motivated, ability to proactively drive business improvements
Able to work with global cross-functional team efforts focused on process implementation & execution
Strong PC abilities: expert Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications is required
