National Sales Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sales and Marketing Teams are responsible for the sales and marketing of TE's products, systems or services including sales oriented activities, market development and communications.

Role Objective

Aerospace, Defense and Marine business is one of the important business within TE India.  National Sales Manager is responsible for developing the Business plan, Marketing plan and strategy for increasing the market share in India. The role is also responsible to build and maintain a high - performance sales organization to effectively achieve business objectives

Responsibilities

•    The position will be responsible for developing marketing plan, sales strategy, deployment and talent management covering the entire region in India (and to meet various yearly targets such as - Bookings, Billings, New account wins, synergy wins, competition displacement, customer support services, cash flow and collections. 
•    Develop strategy & execution plan to serve the current markets and to generate new business and increase Market share.
•    Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, sales process, pricing, and distribution strategies for the region.
•    Proactively identify changes in market requirements and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies accordingly.
•    Prepare and manage to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
•    Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
•    Partner with the product management and Engineering team in India and globally for 
•    identifying new business opportunities and development of business.
•    Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Product Management, Engineering, Operations and Finance etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
•    Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary. Monitor the performance of the sales teams or branches within the region and re-allocate resources to improve overall results.
•    Coach sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organization products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
•    Implement tools and dashboard for sales reporting’s and analytics.

Education/Knowledge

•    Bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) in mechanical, electrical or related engineering discipline.
•    15+ years of sales experience in Defense, Aero & Marine sectors or other institutional / government markets and industrial markets.
 

Critical Experience

•    Experience in selling electrical, electronic, electromechanics connectors, harness and/or relay product development for Aerospace, Defense, Marine or Space markets preferred.
•    5+ years of experience in leading  high performance sales team and a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team.
•    Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage sales and customesr.
•    Solid understanding of public sector industries, institutional selling   and regulatory requirements and issues.
