Job Overview

Supports logistics activities and procedures to ensure timely delivery, customer satisfaction and cost saving.

Roles & Responsibility:

  • Coordinate inbound transportation by scheduling and aligning with carriers and suppliers in accordance with MRP and Purchasing requirements, while ensuring compliance with GLOG routing guides and maintaining cost-efficient transportation solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to TE policies, particularly premium freight policy, and verify that selected freight forwarders align with GLOG routing guidelines and all systems are properly configured.
  • Track & Trace and update internal stakeholders on shipment status, and resolve transportation issues including delays, customs clearance problems, and carrier performance challenges.
  • Monitor and control freight costs through budget tracking, cost analysis, and drive monthly Site Level Freight Forecast Reviews with local plant controlling and logistics teams.
  • Maintain accurate and current transport data in ERP/TMS systems to support operational visibility, compliance, and decision-making.
  • Drive process optimization and standardization initiatives across inbound logistics operations to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse/Logistics, Customs departments, and external suppliers to ensure seamless supply chain operations and effective stakeholder communication.

Desired candidate profile:

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Business Administration.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations and production, preferably within a manufacturing or product-based company.

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient in Transportation (e. g. Incoterms, Freight rate structures, different mode of transports)
  • Strong knowledge on Customs and Import processes (incl. documentation)
  • Technically adept with hands-on experience in SAP, TMS, XPS, FAP, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to generate reports, interpret complex logistics data, and deliver actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis, capable of identifying issues, evaluating alternatives, and implementing both corrective and preventive actions effectively.
  • Strong business communication skills, enabling clear and professional interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly adaptable to changing business requirements and capable of handling workload under stressed environment.
  • Proficient in compliance and custom rules (hazardous goods)
  • Flexible to work across different time zones as per business needs, ensuring global coordination and support.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance in logistics documentation and operations.
