IT Functional Analyst/Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a Digital Marketing/eCommerce Functional Analyst to join the Digital Marketing team to play a critical role in our agile operating model.  Position is part of the Digital Customer Solutions team focused on providing continuous innovations and enhancements to TE Connectivity. Build integrated solutions to address Digital Experience, Product Information Management,  Product management system (Hybris), Content Management  (AEM),  Search (Endeca), and other related internet offerings.  

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:  
•    Defining and documenting functional requirements so that all stories are ready to be Product Owner approved and Development Team accepted (Description, Acceptance Criteria, Estimates, use cases, user journeys, etc.) for execution. 
•    Clearly state story objective, acceptance criteria & if needed test scenarios and Identify cross team dependencies with input from scrum team. 
•    Review and approve progression test cases. Review solution design and verify that business objectives are met. 
•    Provide guidance and support to TE’s Managed Delivery Testing team to enable validation of the functional requirements 
•    Review/Demo final product during PO review to ensure it meets Product Owner’s vision/objective.  
•    Work with Portfolio/Solution Managers to understand end to end initiatives 
•    Delivers enough stories to provide 2x the amount of work that is needed to fill the dev team capacity by all times by working ahead by one sprint is required, two is required).  
•    Escalate gaps in demand by working with scrum master to identify need, and Portfolio/Solution Managers / Product Owners to fill backlog. 
•    Ensure refinement dates are met to start development on time – escalate if stories tentatively planned for a release are not progressing to complete on time. 
•    Work with FA Lead to prioritize the stories for FA writing. 
•    Monitor FA Story Points against actual time spent to ensure continual improvement on estimate accuracy- which feeds capacity planning and ultimately backlog health. 
•    Participate in all cross-work stream issue resolution, risk mitigation, assumption verification and action item follow-up.  
•    Coordinate FA Activity for release level demo that provides approval and entry into UAT and ensures that all demos have been rehearsed and ready for leadership level review. 
 

Requirements

Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:
  
Required
1.    Atleast 6-8 years of experience in business analysis or related field
2.    Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Digital / eCommerce domain.
3.    Working experience in Agile methodologies such as SCRUM. Knowledge in SAFE methodology is nice to have competency.
4.    Proficient in writing stories providing clarity as per the defined format in Agile methodology
5.    Prior knowledge and/or experience of B2C/B2B storefront implementation and/or supporting an implementation 
6.    Understanding of catalog, products, pricing promotions, Search, Supply Chain, Payment Gateway, Personalization, Chatbot with understanding of Global and Localization
7.    Proficient with essential tools, including but not limited to, Confluence, Jira, MS Visio.
8.    Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to build relationships and communicate effectively to peers, developers and other IT teams.
9.    Must be able to flex daily work schedule to allow time-zone differences for global team communications.
10.    Experience in managing the eCommerce projects as Project Manager is a plus as this position will be groomed into dual role of Project Manager as well.

Educational Required/Desired:  
•    MBA or Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or equivalent experience and knowledge in the related field required.
