Job Overview
The Global Product Manager Adjacencies will lead an adjacent portfolio which spans across existing adjacent offerings and planned opportunity spaces. S/he will be responsible for developing the adjacencies strategy by identifying and validating growth opportunities tied to Industrial BUs strategy, driving global portfolio growth and profitability. S/he will bring a growth-oriented mind-set, excellent commercial acumen and cross functional experience, based on a strong strategic savviness to the team.The successful candidate will be part of the Product Management team and will report to the Product Management leader of Industrial’s Power Signal sub-vertical and work closely with the PM and sub-vertical leadership team on organic and inorganic portfolio expansions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Lead market segmentation, competitive analysis, and benchmarking
- Contribute to the 5-year growth plan and identify market penetration opportunities
- Contribute to the full M&A lifecycle including target screening and strategic rationale development
- Develop and execute the portfolio & Product Strategy for the assigned portfolio
- Develop differentiated value propositions and go-to-market strategies
- Manage the product lifecycle, including promotion, rationalization, and exits
- Champion PAC opportunities and drive launch readiness through Ready-Set-Go
Year One Success Factors:
- Build a deep understanding of Industrial BU’s portfolio, markets, customers, go-to-market and competition.
- Validate ~5 and prioritize ~2-3 near or far adjacency markets
- Define the adjacencies portfolio strategy including deep market & competitive insights including the related execution plan
- Establish and manage external partnerships that enhance portfolio breadth and built partnership pipeline
- Developed an active and effective relationship with Sales teams, engineering, strategy and peers
Desired Candidate Profile:
- A track record of developing business & portfolio strategies which drive top and bottom-line financial results.
- Passionate for business & technology, with understanding of key business metrics and their P&L impact
- Business acumen combined with an entrepreneurial mind-set.
- Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities and drive outcome via well-planned execution
- Strong commercial and marketing skills, including ability to derive insights from VOC.
- Familiarity and experience leveraging a commercial tool kit, VOC, Market Segmentation, Strategic Pricing, Messaging etc.
- Ability to build strong partnerships with external partners and internal functions
- Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes.
- Experience in end‑to‑end M&A processes with strong financial and commercial capability.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and strong customer focus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Advanced degree (MBA) highly preferred
- Muli years of functional experience in Strategy or Product Management
- Deep knowledge of Industrial/B2B product market, including competition, go-to-markets and regional nuances
