Job Overview

Provide analytical support to Controlling team in the critical areas of Business Reporting for India P&L, Order to Cash Analytics and Statutory Accounts finalization for Indian Legal Entities. Drive automated tech enabled reporting processes, projection of cash flows from India Businesses, drive continuous improvements initiatives with process control areas and work closely with Record to Report team for finalization of Stat Accounts and other related Compliance matters. This role should evolve over a period to take over the responsibilities of Controlling / Accounting / Taxation functions for India Legal Entities.

Job Requirements

As a member of India Controlling team, this position will -

  • Regular (Monthly / Quarterly / Annual and Ad-hoc) reporting for India P&L, including driving automation of reporting processes using technology tools.
  • Preparation of monthly cash flows and projection of future cash flows based on business drivers.
  • Preparation and tracking of Working Capital position against predefined metrics; identify and drive
  • improvement initiatives to reduce working capital slippages at Legal Entity level.
  • Drive regular discussions with Businesses to monitor working capital reduction projects and capture financial impact.
  • Review and own allocation / distribution cycles and track month-on-month and quarter-on-quarter movements vis-à-vis projections.
  • Preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with IND AS and US GAAP, including preparation of monthly US GAAP to IND AS bridge.
  • Ensure timely Monthly / Quarterly / Annual book closing for India Legal Entities in US GAAP as per agreed timelines.
  • Interact closely with Statutory and Internal Auditors; support audit requirements, schedules, and reconciliations.
  • Participate in development and maintenance of Internal Controls framework, handle SOX assignments, identify control metrics, and develop / publish Controllership and Finance dashboards. 

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years’ experience. Big 4 experience in Articleship / Early part of career desirable but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in MNC preferred. Global Back-office experience is not to be considered as relevant experience. 
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / similar platforms preferred)
  • Experience in automation projects (RPA, Power BI, HFM, BPC, advanced Excel, or similar tools) is an added advantage
  • Advance Excel / PowerPoint knowledge 

Good to Have:

  • Solid command over USGAAP / IGAAP / Ind AS  
  • Strong Accounting knowledge. Knowledge of Accounting Standards is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of various legal and regulatory compliances applicable to a company beyond Company Law and FEMA  
  • Understanding of Merger, Demerger, Acquisitions, Takeovers, Inward and Outward Investments, Business Transfer, Share Purchase Agreement, Shareholders Agreement, etc , desirable but not essential
  • Working knowledge of Direct and Indirect Taxes
