Job Overview
Prepares financial reports; performs variance analysis, market research and financial analysis; prepares budgets; assists with close processes as well as budgeting, forecasting, and building financial models; assists with financial planning.
Job Requirements
- Analyzing benchmarks and processes to develop financial models; preparing monthly/quarterly/yearly finance forecasts; ensuring accuracy in financial results and reports.
- Preparing growth, profitability and cost projections; reporting and analyzing the organization's current financial status.
- Identifying financial risks and areas of improvement and sharing with management.
- Coaching and developing junior financial planning analysts; reviewing their work whenever needed..
Roles & Responsibilities
- Continuous direct interaction with functional owners as a business partner on all aspects of OPEX spend, including initiation of improvement initiatives
- Responsible for the cost center controlling and preparing of the cost center accounting instructions, cost saving review and tracking and participate in monthly financial close process (incl. automation of reporting).
- Responsible for the preparation of the shared OPEX forecast/budget of the Industrial group as well as for providing a global view of the industrial group on these areas by working collaboratively with the Sub-vertical structures, ensuring use of common processes and best practices
- Responsible for performing monthly and quarterly reporting and variance analysis on the OPEX spend including initiation of improvement initiatives
- Support of OPEX Planning Process by ensuring an effective and transparent approach to the monthly, quarterly and yearly planning activities including timely and accurate submissions of forecast and budget.
- Lead ad-hoc analytics, pro-actively identify business performance gaps as well as propose, implement and track gap closing measures
- Drive and ensure Compliance for the Industrial BU by maintaining and further developing financial guidelines and regulations
- Perform ad-hoc billings/bookings and margin analysis to identify trends, gaps and business insights
- Working with Finance, Sales and Procurement teams, isolate variances to standard cost relevant to individual product line(s).
- Proactively communicate potential risks & opportunities, through variance, bridges & decision support analysis
Desired Candidate
- CA/MBA /bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 5 to 7 years' experience in budgeting, forecasting/ accounting /Commercial understanding /operations finance in international environment.
- Proficient Knowledge in Hyperion/SAP/ Think cell/ advanced Microsoft excel
- Experience in Power BI, leveraging data warehousing and structured data models to deliver meaningful business insights.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing organizations, budgeting processes, and cost accounting techniques.
- Strong oral and written communications skills and presentation skills required must be comfortable providing both detailed and executive-summary level communications.
