Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Procurement Business Process Teams develop and deploy procurement processes, systems, reporting and audits compliance. They drive continuous improvement throughout the procurement function, develop and maintain procurement systems, tools and databases such as vendor master files, e-procurement quotation tool, procurement web page, supplier portal, SharePoint and the like. They conduct regular external benchmarking to stay abreast of procurement best practices, run procurement reports and perform analysis to identify trends, opportunities, threats and needed course correction as well as lead facilitation of procurement training and development.

Job Overview:

The Continuous Improvement Analyst is supporting optimization initiatives at TE suppliers.
The function discovers optimization potential in running and new production processes and prepares supplier workshops, which are practically led by a technical specialist in EMEA.
The tasks of the Continuous Improvement Analyst include the after care, action follow-up, data care and alignments with corresponding internal departments.

For this purpose, continuous data analysis needs to be performed to show, discuss and to use potentials.
The Continuous Improvement Analyst is following up resulting price reductions and updates our systems regarding cost break downs and tracks the actions in out TEBIT system.

In cooperation with the Process Specialist Tooling & Molding and in alignment with the direct commodities, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering and Sales & Product Management, this function supports the internal and external communication of the identified potentials and actions out of the supplier workshops.

Furthermore, the Analyst supports needed product- and process validations according automotive rules. 
Extended mid- and long-term actions at suppliers like investments are to be tracked and to be technically supported and communicated.

For the mentioned tasks a skilled handling of systems like SAP, MS Office etc. is mandatory. Furthermore, commercial and technical experience is preferred
 

Responsibilities:

•    Preparation and after care of supplier optimization workshops
•    Tracking of mid- and long-term actions at suppliers
•    Pricing updates in TE systems and price-improvement tracking (TEBIT)
•    Support internal and external communication of lessons learned in cooperation with other departments like Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, (Supplier) Quality, Sales & Product Management, NPI
•    Tracking of validations, engineering- and customer approvals after product & process changes according automotive rules
 

Skills:

Min 5 years experience in the automotive business
•    Experiences in supplier management and development are preferred
•    Understanding of quality management tools
•    Experience in price calculations and cost break downs
•    Project management experiences
•    Self-confidence and negotiation skills
•    Technical and commercial understanding
•    Know-how in SAP, MS Office, 3D design preferred
•    Technical know-how in tooling and/ or plastics processing/ injection molding
    Bachelor of (Mechanical) Engineering with focus on manufacturing, steel, or material science
