Job Overview

We are seeking a high-impact Data Analyst to support commercial and category management decision-making through advanced analytics. This role will partner closely with the Senior Analyst and cross-functional business stakeholders to drive insights across SKU expansion, inventory health, pricing optimization, and stocking strategy.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical analytics capabilities with business acumen, translating complex data into actionable insights that directly influence growth, profitability, and inventory efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. SKU Expansion & Portfolio Analytics

  • Analyze product portfolio gaps and identify SKU expansion opportunities across categories and regions
  • Build models to evaluate SKU productivity, velocity, and whitespace opportunities
  • Support prioritization of new SKUs based on demand signals and commercial impact

2. Inventory Health & DOH Optimization

  • Develop and maintain inventory health models, including Days on Hand (DOH) tracking
  • Identify excess, obsolete, and understocked inventory and recommend corrective actions
  • Support initiatives to optimize inventory turns while maintaining service levels

3. Pricing & Inventory Analytics

  • Conduct pricing analyses to identify margin optimization and price elasticity opportunities
  • Support inventory rationalization and optimization decisions using data-driven approaches
  • Partner with category and sales teams to evaluate pricing strategies across distributors and channels

4. Reporting & Analytics Tools

  • Design and maintain scalable monthly reporting dashboards and analytics tools (Power BI)
  • Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and data consistency
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and standardization across datasets

5. Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with category management, KAMs, product management, pricing and commercial teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions
  • Present insights and recommendations in a clear, structured, and executive-ready format
  • Support ongoing analytical requests tied to growth initiatives and operational performance

Candidate Desired Profile:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, or commercial analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • SQL
    • Advanced Excel (including data modeling)
    • Visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau)
  • Proven experience working with large datasets and building structured analytical models

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy) or similar tools for data analysis and automation
  • Experience in inventory planning, pricing, or commercial analytics
  • Exposure to distributor/channel business models or product portfolio analytics
