Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Business Development Teams identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business development strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies and services. They identify markets and determine the feasibility of business and product development. Our Teams perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities, develop business models and determine market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.

Responsibilities:


The Business Development Manager will work directly with General Manager – India ADM BU and BU Strategy team to identify new business opportunities and create shareholder value by working on the most important strategic initiatives across TE Connectivity
•    Identify key trends across AD&M markets, industries, and competitors that affect our businesses
•    New Business Development, Identify & attract new customers, pursue new applications, leading to profitable future business
•    Perform “White Spot Analysis” with target customers and identify the opportunity areas and relay the same to Sales teams
•    Collaborate within strategy and with business unit teams to solve complex business problems
•    Develop strategies and approaches to fulfill complex project assignments in creative and meaningful ways
•    Translate business requests into well-defined problem statements
•    Support the successful development and deployment of the annual strategy development process
Few examples of typical projects that you may be involved in:
•    Growth strategy: Looking at new areas of content growth or new market entry opportunities for TE
•    Competitive intelligence: Understanding what our competitors/ peers are doing and what are the implications for TE
•    Trend analysis: Looking at industry and market megatrends to understand implications for TE
•    Strategy development: Working with the AD&M senior leadership to develop the 5 year strategy for the business
•    Due diligence: Carrying out due diligence on an M&A target for the business along with the strategy, business, and M&A team
•    Portfolio assessment: Assessing the portfolio of business to suggest opportunities to optimize based on business needs

 

Desired Candidate Profile

•    Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering from a leading institution
•    MBA or another advanced degree from a top program is preferred
•    15+ years of Business Development experience in AD&M or related industries  
•    2~3 years of experience in corporate strategy or quantitative analysis
•    Experience creating presentations and communicating ideas and plans
•    Excellent with MS-Excel and MS-PPT; proficiency in data analytics suite (Tableau, Alteryx, SQL) is a plus
•    Track record of demonstrated leadership potential through academics, work, and/or community activities
•    Strong sense of tact, confidentiality, and maturity
