Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

The Director Product Management identifies the long-term Trends in Indian Market & defines the Product Road Map for India & drives the Product Strat Plan for India along with the Margins. Identifies Global products that can be placed in Indian Market with modifications/ localization and creates a USP to win in the Indian Market at entitled Margins.
Drives the load for the Plants in India and helps drive Productivity for the Plants. 

 

TE Connectivity’s Product Management Teams drives the product Strategy for India along with Localization Plan and Pricing for India. They work with the Global Product management team and the India Sales team to bridge the gap from techno commercial front with the customers and drive new Product requirement for the India market with the Global Product Management teams. 
They work to bring the Global products with or without modifications to India market to suit them for India specific needs and price expectations. They Understand the product gaps for the Indi market and work with India Engineering and Global PM to bridge the Product Gap.  


They pro-actively look at new Government regulations and New Trends in the Market and drive Front end localization in co-ordination with India Engineering, Global PM & India Sales Team. 

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating with Global PM Teams, Customers, India Sales team to drive product positioning and pricing.
  • Creating long term Forecast for India and working with ISC team to ensure long terms capacities for the product requirements for India.
  • Ensuring achievement of targeted profitability through strategic planning, Cost Improvement drives for India Manufactured products, optimum Supply Chain.
  • Promoting innovative thinking for product lines and marketing initiatives, integration of new tools and technology, and compliance with quality standards.

What we are looking for:

 

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. with 20 or more years of experience; or master’s degree with 15 or more years of experience; or PhD level with 10 or more years of experience. 

 

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in combination of the following (Sales/Product Management/Engineering & Technology, Operations, Finance, Strategy)
  • Leading teams with increasing level of scope and complexity
  • Global Experience with Successful Leadership
