Supply Chain Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Responsibilites:

• Regular monitoring and improving the flow and effectiveness of deliveries from TE Suppliers and TE Plants to TE Customers with the special focus on optimizing the Value Stream.
• Recognizing demand patterns, communicating with Demand Management, Product Management and Sales to better recognize Customers Demand for this product,
• Lead continuous improvement activity, individually and with teams to impact company KPIs.
• Perform root causes analysis of late deliveries in support of corrective actions needed to drive delivery improvement. Able to perform similar actions proactively for future demand. Drive stock fulfilment for preferred and standard parts.
• Reduce Past dues, improve Delivery performance and Extraordinary Customer Experience,
• Support and manage monthly S&OP and MPS with critical suppliers (Supplier STC, LT accuracy, PO review), finalize Report Out of Supply Review
• Escalate supply and demand issues to Global Supply Chain Leadership and execute the determined course of action.
• Manage with minimal optimal cost premium freight to ship out finished products to meet customer requirements.
• Highlight suppliers and delivery issues to Strategic Procurement to ensure components are available to support the delivery schedule, expediting / de-expediting as appropriate
• Balance strategic stocking with inventory control at the optimum level
• Prepare ad hoc analysis to support improving Supply Chain KPI’s on the OV/OTE area
 

What your background should look like:

•Educational Degree
• University degree or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience within the area of Material Planning, Production Planning or Procurement or equivalent
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills is high priority
• Good project management skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
• Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
• Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
• Good knowledge in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Fluent in English both written and spoken, local Language is a plus
