Your main tasks:
- Cooperate with suppliers regarding the quality of delivered components.
- Participate in supplier selection, approval, and periodic evaluation in collaboration with the Purchasing Department.
- Monitor supplier performance and initiate improvement activities.
- Conduct supplier audits (system and process audits).
- Issue supplier complaints and coordinate the full complaint-handling process, including evaluation of 8D reports.
- Verify, supervise, and enforce corrective and improvement actions.
- Support process approval and internal quality verification of supplier components.
- Initiate updates to incoming inspection control plans.
- Collaborate closely with Incoming Inspection, Production, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality departments.
- Coordinate actions related to nonconforming materials delivered by suppliers.
- Promote a preventive culture instead of corrective-only actions.
- Execute assigned goals within the Performance Management process.
Occasional Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier visits, participate in meetings, conferences, and training sessions.
- Conduct internal audits.
- Deliver training for employees and suppliers.
- Participate in improvement initiatives (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen).
Your ideal background:
Education & Experience
- University degree.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management or a technical department.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of technical drawings.
- Understanding of production processes and measurement techniques.
- Practical experience with quality tools and statistical methods (FMEA, Control Plan, Pareto, 8D, PPAP).
- Strong analytical skills and experience in problem‑solving and project execution.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Additional advantage: familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 or IPC/WHMA-A-610 standards.
Languages
- English – minimum intermediate level.
- German – an asset.
