Quality/Continuous Improvement Manager

Job Overview

For our plant in Bydgoszcz, we are now looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead this function, and drive process improvement in all areas of production and the site. Our plant has around 1500 employees, and is the biggest and most important site for the Industrial Business Unit in Europe, with an expanding footprint not only in production, but also growing in supporting functions like quality, supply chain, demand planning and engineering.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of continuous improvement, and will additionally have the site quality leader report directly into him.

Please note that this role will require a 100% on-site presence in Bydgoszcz.

You will be responsible for processes related to Continuous Improvement Functions:

  • Develop Site Continuous Improvement Strategy
  • Organize of manufacturing processes based on Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Implement projects which consist of process optimization, cost reduction and ergonomic improvement
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, TPM, VSM, QCO, etc.)
  • Bottlenecks identification and preparing plan to eliminate them
  • Develop and implement of effective action plans
  • Effectiveness verification of Continuous Improvement projects
  • Trainings and workshops deliver and workshops Lean Manufacturing methodology
  • Establish effective cross department communications
  • Provides leadership, drives organizational capability, sets objectives and support the creation of development plans for the Quality and Continuous Improvement teams, leading to continuous improvement of the processes and the adoption of best practices
  • Promote a culture that reflects company’s values, encourages outstanding performance and promotes positive work environment, as well as strengthening global team spirit within and across other functions

And for processes related to Quality Function as:

  • Develop and implement of quality strategy and plans (including resource, systems, time schedule and financials), to support and integrate within the organization’s short- and long-term business plan
  • Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards/targets
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer satisfaction while driving down costs
  • Responsible for Customer Quality Relations and to lead Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE) initiatives
  • Focal point to manage major customer issues
  • Responsible for Supplier Quality and development
  • Interface with Engineering to ensure AQP tools are properly utilized within all new products/programs
  • Ensure best practices and lessons learned in Quality Department are appropriately transferred across all departments
  • Being responsible for successful implementation and improvement of the Quality Management System,
  • Implementing and ensuring compliance with global and local standards, policies and process.

What your background should look like:

  • University degree (engineering preferred)
  • 3 years’ experience experience in similar role, experience in similar industry and manufacturing factories
  • Six Sigma degree
  • Fluent in English & Polish // both written and spoken
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Culturally sensitive
