Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.



Our journey with Digital Factory started 5 years ago and we are continuing it by ensuring that we maintain and improving the implemented solutions, therefore we are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join our team and be responsible for the implementation and development of digitization solutions in the production departments at the Bydgoszcz plant.



•    implementation of connections of production machines and infrastructure equipment to the MES/SCADA system 
•    with the use of industrial mini-computers (application of appropriate solutions, assembly of components, wiring and configuration to achieve communication of machines with the data server)
•    configuration of devices in the MES/SCADA system (in the WEB portal) 
•    PLC programming
•    execution of visualization of process parameters of machines and devices on WEB sites
•    implementation of solutions archiving machine status and process data
•    preparation of software enhancements in HTML, VBA, VB .net
•    cooperation with MES/SCADA system administrator and maintenance and new machine development teams
•    monitoring the technical status of implemented Digital Factory solutions 
•    maintaining workplace organization standards 
•    initiating and participating in improvement projects of the continuous improvement process
•    cooperation with the corporate IT department (Digital Factory) in order to maintain proper standards 
•    and application of the latest technical solutions

What your background should look like:

•    Secondary or higher technical education 
•    knowledge of Siemens S5, S7 PLCs along with Siemens Step5, Step7, WinCC flexible, TIA Portal tools (knowledge of other PLCs will be an advantage)
•    Experience in programming and developing solutions with various automation control devices using industrial network protocols
•    Experience in installation and programming of PLCs and digital automation control technologies in machines and production lines
•    Participation in SCADA system implementations using OPC UA servers, data transfer systems and IoT (Digital Factory, Industry 4.0) connectivity technologies
•    knowledge of technologies and web application development, HTML programming, database development, object-oriented programming (#C, Python, JavaScript) as well as knowledge of Linux and HTTP/HTTPS protocols will be an advantage
•    Good knowledge of MS Office with particular emphasis on MS Excel
•    knowledge of English to a communicative degree, both spoken and written
