Project Manager SCD and NPD

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

What your background should look like:

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities
Participate actively as assigned Integrated Supply Chain Team member in selected NPD projects to support in defining SC work packages for SC Functions, to ensure timely execution with SC resources in charge and SC readiness, to perform SC risk assessment and to define respective mitigation measures if required 
Ensure that E2E View is integrated in NPD project teams when reviewing changing customer requirements 
Report on all deviations of SC work packages and tasks vs. expected timing and quality to the Teamlead Supply Chain Design and propose mitigating actions to the SC functions    
Review overall project progress versus customer and SC requirements and highlight critical deviations 
Highlight possible conflicts of NPD project decisions with SC strategies to mgt 
Keep informed the local Supply Analysts and Supply Chain Planners on possible influences of projects on their individual Supply Chains and responsibilities
Review with NDP project teams on changes in the project decision base – demand vs. supply, capacity constraints, flexibility corridors etc. – and propose mitigating actions aligned with Supply Chain functions


Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant
Bachelor/Master degree or equivalent education
Min. 2 years of Supply Chain & Manufacturing experience - preferably in Automotive
Cross-plant value stream experience
Experience with cross-functional project team work
Experience with new product introductions and related introduction processes beneficial  / a good understanding of cost drivers, planning process and Master Data requirements
Experience with supply chain and demand planning software applications.
Knowledge about common Automotive Production steps and dependencies like plating, stamping, molding and assembly
Experience in collaborating with various functional areas incl. Quality, Manufacturing, Demand/Supply Planning, Finance, Operations and Procurement,
Professional Supply Chain certification (APICS, etc.) desirable.
Strong oral and written communication skills, able to communicate across all levels of the organization.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Solid project management skills.
Ability to work in quickly changing environments and willingness to overcome resistance by moderating change processes
Ability to prioritize and maintain appropriate balance in a fast-paced environment
Demonstration of Supply Chain concept development & Supply Chain optimization 
Ability to manage and understand the logic of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items
General knowledge of operations/manufacturing systems, including MRPII concepts.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Travel: 10 – 25%
