Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.

Role Statement:
TE Connectivity, Energy Business Unit is currently seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to work within the Brazil and São Paulo Sales function.  

You’ll work as part of our Brazil/São Paulo Commercial team on Utility segment with a strong link to Account Managers, Global functions like Product Management and others Field Service Engineer. In this role you will promote and create new demand and customer specifications doing technical presentations, training, seminars face to face of all TE Product Lines line Cable Accessories, Connectors, Products for the Asset Protection of Distribution, Substation and Transmission Networks. This role requires good technical and commercial skills to influence the customer decision.


Key tasks of the job:

⦁    Installation Training for customers for the different Product Lines that Energy Brazil sells at the market
⦁    Work hand to hand with the Product Managers and Product Specialists to define the Bill of Materials for particular customer solutions in particular at the Cable Accessories area. Prepare and submit to the Product Managers and Product Specialists the draft Parts for those solutions.
⦁    To help to generate demand & specify TE products by Trainings, Presentations, Seminars, etc.
⦁    To prepare and implement a consistent training plan / seminars (High and Medium Voltage Cable Accessories, Wide Life Asset Protection Products and Connectors / Terminations in Medium and High Voltage Application) for end users with focus on major territories aligned with the region sales growth plans. 
⦁    Support at the Commercial Bids, for the Product Definition, working together with the PM’s and Product Specialists and Sales.
⦁    Participation in the definition of the technical solutions in accordance with customer and product specifications and recommends actions to company or customer representative for product solutions.
⦁    Be able to handle technical presentations for the different product lines

Experience required:

Overall experience not less than 5 years with Utilities in Brazil


Qualifications & specialist training required:

⦁    Degree: Preference Electrical Engineer 
⦁    Foreign Language: English proficiency (read / write and speak)
⦁    Skills: Capable to give technical and sales presentations / good communication, and must be capable to specify products and discuss technically with customer.
