Job Overview


TE Connectivity Sensors (TES) Bergen is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. We are a world leader in the application of ultrasound for fluid measurement for on-road and off-road vehicles and are currently expanding our area of expertise to other fluid property measurement techniques. We are looking for a highly competent and engaged colleague to join our SW engineering team. The position is at the core of the of the TES Bergen Engineering organization competence and you will play an important role in our efforts to ensure that TES continues to lead in our selected niches of fluid sensors. 
You will actively participate in product development in a small team of highly competent engineers with diverse backgrounds. The position reports to the Software Engineering Manager, TE Connectivity Sensors. 



•    Participate in discussions with customers and internal team members as necessary, to ensure requirements are understood and to communicate system engineering requirements to the customer
•    Design, implement, test and validate software for embedded systems, following the internal software process, to ensure the company’s smart sensors meet functional and performance requirements.
•    Algorithm design and development related to digital signal processing
•    Analyze and understand existing products and their implementation to determine best design and method to add and/or change features and functionality
•    Execute relevant tasks and prepare documentation as required by the internal development process.

What your background should look like:



MSc Degree in Physics / Software Engineering / Cybernetics or similar


You must have solid knowledge in at least 2 out of the following disciplines:
o    Embedded systems design
o    Embedded C/C++ programming
o    Signal processing
o    Model-based design

Relevant experience or knowledge in some of the following topics will be considered as a plus:
o    GIT
o    SVN
o    Python
o    Matlab
o    Agile methodologies: TDD, XP, CI, Scrum/Kanban
o    C#, WPF
o    CAN
o    RTOS
o    V-Model
•    Fluent in English
