Overview

TE Connectivity's Digital Experience teams set digital product, feature and user experience strategies, prioritizing capabilities and delivery to drive ROI, focusing on customer research, online features/services, and user experience, including content strategy, interaction and visual design, contributing significantly to the overarching digital strategy as well as multi-channel Brand experience strategy. They direct and define an engaging and valuable experience for TE’s customers, collaborating with key partners (business, technology, marketing, etc.) to ensure that the integrity of the user experience is maintained during development through launch and appropriate plans and processes are in place to maintain and scale those experiences as appropriate. They partner with team members to define, track and test capabilities in an agile development life cycle and perform industry research as necessary to support feature definition and development. The team members have experience with responsive design, designing large scale websites, working with 3rd party agencies, agile practices including working with a product owner framework or similar function, creating/maintaining a Product/Feature backlog to prioritize capabilities for implementation, and the ability to define and clearly communicate detailed business requirements.

You love solving hard problems and can present complex research data in a way that’s easy to understand.
Also, you are a storyteller and excellent at translating qualitative and quantitative data from a variety of sources into meaningful insights which will drive north star concepts that inform TE’s customer experience strategy, influence future of digital product design, and create business growth.

Job responsibilities:
As our UX research manager, you will help us establish a high functioning global customer experience research practice. You will work closely with Customer Experience Strategy, UX Design, Product Managers, BU marketing / Digital and engineering team to develop and evolve a vision and strategy for establishing qualitative and quantitative best practices. You will bring insights into diverse research methodologies as an individual contributor to our holistic customer experience from end to end, digital product efforts while also building out the research playbook based on what’s needed most. Act as an ongoing through partner and strategic consultant to BU leaders, digital product & design partners to ensure insights are being interpreted and effectively applied. 
 

What your background should look like:

Qualifications:  
•    Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of quantitative and qualitative professional research experience including but not limited to surveys, diary studies, interviews, etc. to discover whitespace opportunities, explore propositions and validate solutions
•    Experience building, executing and scaling research programs globally
•    Provide research expertise within the company and may serve as consultant to other functions or business units 
•    Ability to work as in individual contributor and a leader
•    Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
•    Experience presenting metrics and outcomes to senior leadership
•    Deep understanding across a range of the latest qualitative and quantitative research methods
•    Experience in incorporating complex technical and business requirements into research
•    Design and moderate customer interviews that elicit authentic behaviors and reactions
•    Collect and analyze user behavior through 1:1 in-depth interview, surveys, benchmark studies, field visits, and online experiments.
•    Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.

Preferred qualifications:
•    12 years of industry experience working in a fast-paced tech environment to build an enterprise Voice of Customer system globally.
•    Communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
•    Demonstrated skills in proactively identifying, facilitating, and driving complex projects, especially as related to collaborative research

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $134,9000.00 - $168,600.00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
