Senior Tax/Transfer Pricing Analyst

TEAM OVERVIEW

TE Connectivity's Tax Teams develop and implement systems to compile information for various federal, state, and local reports. They ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns. They assess tax implications surrounding pending mergers and acquisitions. The Tax Teams recommend ways to minimize corporate tax through use of tax laws and regulations. They may administer international tax laws and regulations and also audit financial records to determine tax liability.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Tax/Transfer Pricing Analyst will be an active participant in implementing transfer pricing policies, supporting the book close process, documenting intercompany transactions, and supporting business initiatives from a tax perspective.  Under the guidance of the transfer pricing group, the Senior Tax/Transfer Pricing Analyst will also be responsible for transfer pricing practices for all intercompany transactions, documentation and tax audit assistance.  The candidate will enjoy collaboration with a team of committed and dynamic colleagues and be mentored by a group of professionals committed to your personal growth in the organization and as a professional.  As a member of the TE Corporate Tax Department, this role will be part of a global organization and offer exposure to a broad range of tax topics, tax technology applications, and provide a wide range of opportunities for learning and career growth.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistance or ownership involving:

  • Responsible for extracting data from various internal systems and performing financial and statistical analyses.
  • Design complex financial models to analyze and price intercompany transactions for products, services and intellectual property.
  • Assist and take accountability for the delivery of transfer pricing projects (e.g., US and global transfer pricing compliance, intellectual property valuation, audit defense, advance pricing agreement and tax planning projects.
  • Undertake in-depth company, industry and market research.
  • Perform external comparable searches utilizing various transfer pricing applications.
  • Support operational improvements using tax and technology tools as established under TE’s continuous improvement methodology. 
  • Support TE initiatives to research and analyze OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) actions.
  • Present results to both internal and external audiences.

WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND SHOULD LOOK LIKE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics, or related field or foreign equivalent and 2-4 years of Accounting or Finance experience; OR

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics, or related field or foreign equivalent and 0-2 years of Accounting or Finance experience.

  • Experience in working with large data samples; strong Excel and other database skills. 
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion/HFM and Business Objects is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong technical skills in transfer pricing, tax, finance, economics, statistics, accounting and/or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid teamwork ethic and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple time sensitive projects and drive for continuous process improvement initiatives.
