As a Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing you will collaborate with colleagues who are passionate about understanding our markets, customers, and competitors and using this insight to help develop marketing plans that drive growth. The Senior Manager, Strategic Marketing will serve as the subject matter expert for the Industrial Solutions Segment on key marketing projects across four business units. This role will utilize market research, analytics, customer insights, competitive intelligence and business plans to identify priority campaign segments, audience targeting, lead prioritization and marketing-supported revenue forecasting, helping the marketing team drive more impactful programs. The preferred candidate will have a strong background in strategic marketing including product/portfolio management, demand generation and revenue forecasting as well as experience in data methodologies, system and tools. This role reports to the VP, Marketing for Industrial Solutions.


Short Description

Serve as leading expert for key growth initiatives for the segment, including priority focus on small and medium sized customers. Collaborate with all business units globally, where three business units are headquartered in EMEA.

Build a strong understanding of key products, applications and industry trends impacting the Industrial Solutions businesses. Provide market intelligence by combining external market research to bring outside-in insights with internal data to assess performance or behavior that shape marketing direction and business decisions.

Bring market and audience insight, customer white space, and competitive analysis together with application and product understanding to support development of global and regional demand generation campaigns, eCommerce strategies and product marketing.

Understand and leverage market trends, customer segments, buying behaviors, preferences and influences and how they can be used to guide marketing activities across the team.

Implement and manage a robust and disciplined approach for gathering customer insights and intelligence, identifying best practices, and develop a disciplined approach for measuring and monitoring key KPIs and user activities that brings this insight back into campaign planning, digital strategies, pricing reviews and portfolio planning.

Leverage insights to acquire new white space customers and increase marketing’s revenue impact. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve TE’s marketing systems and reporting capabilities across the business units.

What your background should look like:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field 7-10 years’ experience in developing B2B strategic marketing for industrial technology products

5+ years in a global role with strong cross-functional experience. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience with ROI analysis and attribution.

Experience in B2B and Electronics as part of a multi-national business preferred

Experience building ad hoc communities and coalitions to achieve business results
