Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to find present and future financial performance. They gather, assess, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
The Sensor Business Unit within TE is seeking a Director of FP&A to drive financial strategy and performance. The Director, of FP&A will lead a small team focused on providing financial guidance and support in consolidating,
reporting, and assess monthly results, forecasts, and plans. Additionally, this individual will provide insightful business analyses to the Global Leadership Team to support the strategical direction and decision-making that will drive the success of the business unit.
Responsibilities
- alStrategic Advisor
- Act as a key strategical partner to senior leadership, offering data-driven insights and financial guidance to drive critical business decisions.
- Conduct special analyses including financial analysis for strategical initiatives, capital investments, evolving business models, make vs buy decisions, and pricing models.
- Provide high-level financial counsel to management through actionable insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability
- Strategical Financial Reviews and Planning
- Oversee the Strategical Financial Planning Process, including budgeting, forecasting, andinvestment planning to align with and support the long-term business strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement in the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure precision and alignment with organizational goals.
- Support the preparation of the Annual Strategical Plan financials, Quarterly forecasts and Earnings Prep, Monthly Financial results
- FP&A Leadership, Reporting, and Analysis
- Interface actively with the business unit, segment, and corporate finance teams and Sensor Global Leadership Team.
- Provide guidance and support in reviewing and assess monthly results and forecasts, including appropriate commentary to the BU, Segment, and Corporate leadership teams.
- Highlight areas of concern and recommend improvement.
- Manage OpEx forecast and tracking including functional cost-to-serve analysis
- Evaluate capital appropriation requests and drive trade off decisions within portfolio. Ensure accurate tracking and compliance.
- Champion the integration of AI and advanced analytics to streamline and enhance financial reporting.
- Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Financial Policies & Process Improvement
- Ensure the effectiveness and compliance of financial systems and procedures with GAAP,Sarbanes-Oxley, and corporate policies to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain a robust FP&A schedule, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and reviews.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing FP&A team, driving a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Education, Experience, and Skills:
Must have experience:
- 10+ years of Finance experience, with a minimum 5 years of FP&A and Operations Finance experience in publicly traded US company.
- Familiar with FP&A in Manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving targets.
- Global experience supporting Business Leaders and Teams in different regions (Americas / Europe / APAC).
- Experience working in large, global matrix organizations.
- Ability to interact with Business Leader to become an active part advisor for the business and driving active things like forecasting accuracy, P&L modeling.
- Ability to challenge, push back, ability to influence.
- Familiar with Fast-paced intensity.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- MBA and/or CPA preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate across, and influence within, a complex matrixed global organizational structure.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
- Ability to prepare, assess, and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports with the ability to
- effectively convey financial data into insights and recommendations.
- Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems.
- Technically proficient with transformation, modeling, analytical tools (Tableau, Alteryx, etc)
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $169,000 – 230,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
