Job Requirements
Product Development & Engineering
- Development of new products and optimization of existing solutions for Industrial & Commercial Transportation
- Translation of customer and market requirements into technical concepts
- Ensuring performance, quality, cost efficiency, and manufacturability throughout the entire product lifecycle
Validation & Verification
- Planning and management of DVP&R as well as coordination of tests (mechanical, electrical, environmental, functional)
- Analysis of test results and ensuring compliance
- Support in root cause analysis and implementation of quality improvement measures
Technical Project Execution
- Acting as the central technical interface in development projects
- Supporting project planning, milestones, and industrialization activities
- Managing technical documentation and supporting product release processes
Collaboration
- Close coordination with customers and internal interfaces (sales, production, quality, etc.)
- Working within global engineering teams and supporting technical alignments
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
- Application of methods such as FMEA, RCA, and 8D
- Contribution to standardization and efficiency improvements in development and validation
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics)
- Several years of experience in R&D, product development, or validation, ideally in automotive or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of product development processes from concept to release
- Experience in validation, test coordination, and analysis of results
- Knowledge of common engineering methods (DVP&R, FMEA, RCA, Change Management)
- Experience in international, cross-functional projects
- Very good English skills; German is a plus
- Experience with connector systems or electromechanical products
- Knowledge of relevant standards in the transportation environment
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, as well as CAD, PLM, and ERP systems
- Experience working with customers and handling technical escalations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Technical leadership and high level of ownership
- Structured, results-oriented working style
- Effective stakeholder management and clear communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
- Continuous improvement mindset
