Sales Director / Global Account Manager for EU based Customer
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a top talent to fill a new key role within our business unit. This role is a key member of the Global and EMIA Sales leadership team, driving our Sales strategic activities for designated Tier1 / OEM customers as well as providing broader business leadership for the organization.
The Director Sales is responsible for the overall planning, direction and control of all sales activities of a specific customer segment and drive growth in our business. This includes a strong ability to lead and partner across functions to serve as a sales thought leader and strategic business partner in a dynamically changing and technology-driven industry
Role Objective
- Overall global responsibility as the Director Sales for the Global customer P&L.
- Accountable for profitable sales growth, development of new business opportunities.
- Acting in the TE matrix organization with different teams and maintaining customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in working with Tier1 Automotive suppliers and or OEM’s and able to collaborate and thrive in a global environment, provide innovative marketing and communication approaches and champion change.
Responsibility:
Strategy
- Develop and drive the account Vision, account strategy, deliver profitable growth.
- Execute the account plan, including P&L and pricing.
- Own and manage Pipeline, ensure global alignment.
- Responsible for customer negotiation process and contract management.
- Drive stakeholder’s management and Influence at all levels.
- Manage escalation process, ensuring that escalation is handled at the right level.
Talent Development & Leadership
- Act as a role model for sales, fostering and promoting a mind-set and culture of sales excellence in the business unit.
- Represent the global and EMIA Sales leadership team with other sales leaders from the EMIA Sales Team.
- Promote a culture that reflects TE Connectivity’s values.
Execution
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and executing plans for advancing the company’s products to meet the customer’s specific demands.
- Act as the Customer advocate to ensure organization remains customer focused.
- Communicate results of the specific customers/industry.
- Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominating position.
- Lead and guide internal regional and global matrix partners within the company without direct reports.

- Success in the role requires strong business acumen and strategic mindset, exceptional analytical and communication skills, experience in designing and implementing sales strategy, ability to work seamlessly with leaders at multiple levels, and the skills and tenacity to achieve results.
- Strong capability to link the strategy with the right execution mode, enabling the Sales Team to achieve strategic milestones and deliver results.
- 10 years’ + experience combining several experiences in Sales and Business leadership roles. In best case 5 years’ + experience in a global leading role with direct costumer contact for a global acting Tier1 and/or OEM.
- Proven commercial and leadership track record to drive global growth.
- Experience leading global teams in a matrixed environment.
- Knowledge of Automotive Industry, including trends / competition / technology that will influence products and sales.
- Demonstrated commercial / entrepreneurial / strategic / innovative mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Fluent in German and English both written and spoken
