Job Overview

TE Connectivity, located in Bensheim, Germany, is currently hiring a


Regional Support Engineer (RSE) (f/m/d) Data Connectivity.


The RSE (f/m/d) has engineering responsibilities supporting customers by region. He/She will utilize technical experience and product line knowledge to ensure successful customer implementation and system integration.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate to achieve comprehensive product requirements covering application needs and providing opportunity for TE differentiation
  • Leverage experience and relationships with customer and TE product design team to help TE arrive at the winning product concept
  • Collaboration between Sales/Product Management and the customers as a represent of the RSE team
  • Drive development of design validation testing plan and specifications
  • Ensure application details are understood and considered by product design team
  • Ensure customer integration of TE product into their system is aligned with product capabilities to maximize success
  • Recommend customer system level testing to help them develop their validation plans
  • Explain and negotiate technical tradeoffs where conflicting requirements exist
  • Collect feedback and observations which can drive design and process improvements in current or future projects
  • Understand competitive products and identify opportunities for TE to be superior
  • Maintain expert level knowledge of products and product test requirements
  • Ability to convert customer needs into actionable technical specifications
  • Ability to effectively interact with standardization organizations such as IEEE and SAE.

What your background should look like:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of data connectivity solutions in the industrial or commercial sector
  • RF/HF electrical engineering experience, experience with coax and twisted pair on PHY level preferred.   
  • Proficient in the English language and local Language German is a plus
  • Direct experience working with customers in a technical capacity
  • CAD Experience required, CREO preferred
  • New Product Development experience
  • DFMEA experience
  • Knowledgeable on testing standards
  • Highly engaged problem solver with excellent business acumen
  • Ability to communicate cross functionally and build strong customer relationships
  • Negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%; willingness to travel domestic and EMEA wide
  • Effective Technical Communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work in a multicultural and international team
  • Knowledgeable on testing standards
  • Ability to support customers using multiple communication methods
  • Tolerance Requirements
