Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Facilities Team conduct facilities and property administration, office planning, corporate leasing and/or real estate coordination. They work closely and provide advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facility constructions or modifications or leasing and real estate activities.

As a part of the corporate-wide real estate and transaction management function, the Specialist - Real Estate position is responsible administratively for the Company’s diverse real estate portfolio within a defined region and to support his/her manager across all that region.        

The position can be upgraded to include:  Management of TE’s global real estate database; interface with Finance on lease accounting; management of rent, taxes and other lease payables; assist in some M&A work.
 

What you will do:

The Specialist position will:

  • Be the primary focal point in region to ensure the data integrity of the TE’s real estate database.
  • Provide real estate support to the regional manager for TE’s real estate portfolio, including managing the real estate approval and recommendation process.
  • Negotiate with landlords for small-to-medium sized projects, existing lease renewals as well as terminations. 
  • Maintain proper real estate legal documentation, certificates, permits, as necessary and appropriate, to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate closely with the Company’s preferred real estate transaction management provider to arrange site inspection schedules and logistics arrangements. 
  • Ensure that Legal, EHS, Risk Management reviews are conducted for all transactions, as appropriate. 
  • Ensure adherence to TE’s workplace principles, guidelines and policies at all time.
  • Ensure all transactions meet TE’s code of business conduct and compliance policies.
  • Report progress and results.  
  • Support the Merger and Acquisition process.
  • Provide support to the Company’s sustainability initiatives.
     

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent (preferably in Real Estate or related disciplines). 
  • 3-5 years of directly applicable work corporate real estate/facilities experience (Candidates with experience in a law firm as a paralegal for real estate transactions would be a plus.)  
  • Fluent in English and German, with multi-lingual abilities a plus. 
  • Ability to travel (less than 10%)
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft productivity software applications (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project).
