Project Manager Digital Marketing/Lead Mgt. and Data Analyst (f/m/d)

Job Overview

As a Project Manager for Digital Marketing, you work in the Marketing team for the Auto Business Unit, which is developing and executing Digital projects for the EMEA region. 
In this role you are project managing the development and roll-out of new digital initiatives (Digital Transformation Engine) with the digital team and in close collaboration with the different project stakeholders in the organization (sponsors) as well as Marketing. The objective of this position is to consolidate and lead all internal European digital strategic efforts that are customer facing and to bring them in line with the overarching marketing strategy. By streamlining and working closely with other functional- and segment leads, best practise is shared, and synergies are leveraged. This has a positive impact on budgets and effectiveness in the short-, mid- and long-term.
Through our customer analytics, market research and big data skills we put our customers at the centre of every marketing and retail decision. You will be the closest link to our customer: You will build a deep understanding of our customer’s characteristics by analysing different aspects of their behaviour such as research- and purchasing-patterns, sales drivers, customer value as well as their customer journey along the different channels we are offering. 
You will transform data into actionable insights and recommendations that drive strategic decisions for our digital marketing and ultimately sales growth.

Position Tasks and Responsibilities

  •  Acquire data-driven customer expert knowledge via developing ad hoc analysis & statistical models on customer data to support driving e.g. customer value and customer retention. Share results & visualizations in automated reports.
  • Development and execution of mid and long-term strategy in the context of new and emerging (digital) media and trends.
  • Create customer profiles and segmentations enabling the Auto EMEA sales teams to grow and deepen our customer relationships.
  • Deliver and present actionable customer insights. Identify new strategic opportunities and recommend actions supporting the customer strategy.  Become a trusted advisor to your stakeholders and our senior management. 
  • Work with central team to improve lead process for sales teams in AUTO EMEA incl. lead generation, distribution, pre-qualification and lead analytics
  • Support development and execution of new digital strategical projects (digital proxies)
  • Implement and improve overall analytics related to digital marketing platforms
  • Create ad-hoc and monthly reporting on social and digital reports for team use 
  • Drive data mindset in the team and guide in terms of methodology & technology with regards to campaigns. Collaborate with other analysts / data scientists from the global TS segment team, engineers, product management and commercial colleagues to untap new sources of data and know-how. 
  • Collaborate with the global TS segment team leading improvement projects such as the implementation or expansion of customer data collection systems as well as content strategy
  • Active participation in the implementation of a customer-led corporate culture (TEOA)

What your background should look like:

  • University degree (min. BA in business administration and preferably also technical background (e.g. industrial engineering, business informatics or equivalent). Very good quantitative degree, e.g. in Economics, Social Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fields.
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in Digital Marketing and Experience in creating a customer journey
  • Strong understanding of marketing communication and strong know-how in project management 
  • Strong social skills required, as well as very good negotiation and communication skills 
  • Analytical skills, strategic and tactical thinking and problem-solving competence are also required. You are experienced in using data in smart and creative ways to answer business questions incl. model driven statistical analysis. 
  • Many years of experience in using analysis and project management tools
  • Experience with Google Ads and Google Analytics, Experience with LEAN management tools (TEOA) is an advantage
  • Willingness to work in a fast moving, international matrix organization
  • Advanced skills and understanding in data methodologies to be able to create a reporting that is leading into concrete strategic actions.
  • Certificate from ADOBE as certified expert as well as MicroStrategy & Tableau are considered as a plus. 
  • Natural curiosity to continuously learn about new technologies, changes in digital marketing techniques.
  • Strong communicator to challenge the status quo, tell data stories, maximize decision impact of your results and liaison with commercial and tech people alike.
  • Proactive, fast learner, problem solver, comfortable working in a fast-paced international work environment.
  • A technical or automotive background are desirable given the special and highly complex nature of the business.
  • To ensure good management of digital programs a deep background in digital and Below the Line development techniques and affinity towards new media / technologies is needed (includes but not limited to experience in Online Media, Search Engine Marketing, Viral Marketing and Mobile Marketing).
  • Strong affinity towards emerging digital trends (virtual conferences, exhibitions, TechTalks / Webinars, Influencer Marketing, Gamification, Augmented Reality, VR, Cloud Computing, etc.) desirable.
  • Team spirit, dedication and ability to manage projects autonomously

  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, leadership and project management skills. Must be able to juggle multiple projects within stringent timelines.
  • Ability to work independently, able to multi-task and perform under pressure and willing to roll-up sleeves and do the work required for flawless execution
  • Dynamic and high energy team player
  • Must be comfortable presenting in English as well as writing and working primarily in English. Very good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into action 
  • Strong business acumen; sound business-sense and judgment
  • Demonstrated competencies such as creative problem solving, flexibility and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Flexibility to develop strong relationships with multiple departments in a large, matrix organization
  • Strong ability to market a wide range of technical products in a complex, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Managing Diversity and Inclusion
  • Familiarity with MS Office, MS Project and Adobe applications. Plus, a solid understanding of CMS as well as internal data management tools are desirable.
