Project Manager (f/m/d) - Automotive Business Development

Job Overview


TE Connectivity's Business Development Teams identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business development strategies relating to the development of new products, technologies and services. They identify markets and determine the feasibility of business and product development. Our Teams perform economic analyses on new or improved product opportunities, develop business models and determine market trends to substantiate long-term prospects.


As a member of the Sales Operations & Digital Excellence team, you will help shape and transform our organization into the digital era. You will lead projects involving different stakeholders (internal and external) in the Sales organization to create value and helping address the most important questions and pain points across our organization to prepare us for our digital future.


We are looking for a highly motivated and curious team member who is a self-starter and who enjoys working and exploring new topics, thinks out of the box and likes to bring structure when and where needed.

Key Responsibilities:


•    Drive the change: Leading selected digital transformation projects (Data & Analytic) within Sales organization and works with X functional teams to successfully execute them.
•    Develop systemic approach on business clarity to support leadership in strategic decisions with e.g. CPV (content per vehicle), CPA (Content per Application), share, etc.
•    Lead projects that help alleviate business pain points and develop structure and improvements to new and existing processes 
•    Understands and bring an outside-in mentality and identify industry changes and trends and collaborates with teams to assess impact of those
•    Defines, implements and develop efficient periodic and adhoc reporting structure and Market Intelligence 
•    Partner with internal key stakeholders to digitalize existing know-how, and derives connections to assess “the big picture”
•    Drives the roll-out of selected consistent analysis tools, processes, and approaches to support strategic discussions and decision-making
•    Proactively identifies root causes on KPI and trend changes and provides insights for supporting proactive decision making
•    Uses hypothesis driven approach to understand and solve business problems
•    Closely collaborate with the IT team to execute on projects


What your background should look like:


•    Bachelor’s/ Master degree in (Industrial) Engineering (or similar qualification)
•    +3 years of experience in Sales or Business development and project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle 
•    Ability working in complex projects preferably in Automotive and digital transformation (Data & Analytic) is projects is a plus
•    Experience in Product Management or Account management beneficial
•    Understanding on Sales processes, business development and customer experience
•    Expert level proficiency in MS Office and other analytical BI tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI
•    Ability to work with large volumes of data, providing insights, identifying trends and complex relationships to be structured
•    Understanding how to translate business question/issues into analytical solutions and insights
•    Experience leading data and digital related projects highly preferred
•    International experience is a plus 
•    Language: English and German fluency required
•    Travel: willingness to travel 10-20% based on business demand

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $xxx – xxx (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
